Kappas

Showcasing the revival of indigenous cotton. A wide variety of cotton species have thrived in the nation’s diverse terrain for thousands of years. Unfortunately, post independence, the majority of cotton grown in the country is the hybrid, high yielding variety.

It is therefore encouraging that a few organisations are now working for the revival of indigenous cotton. Kappas is an exhibition that showcases the work of three such organisations, namely Udaanta from Karnataka, Trinjan from Punjab and Khamir from Kutch.
